As of right now, it has a database of trees in the Northeastern United States, with plans to extend to the entire country. It’s free to download on the iPhone and iPad.

Another great app for identifying plants, Garden Answers has more than 2,000,000 users and counting. Take a picture of a plant with your phone and get an instant identification. In addition, you can find out if your plant has any pests or diseases, and you can get your questions answered by experts. It is available both for Android and iOS.
